No offense or anything, this is just a comment, but I noticed that you wrote "Anonymity is doubled-edged sword" when it should be "Anonymity is a doubled-edged sword".

To be sure, not all anonymity is bad. Sometimes it allows people to ask questions or make comments that would be awkward or inappropriate if their true identity were known. But such occasions are relatively rare.

This may sound crass, but you really have no idea what you're talking about. I use anonymity all day to push intellectual discourse way ahead of where it normally could go. I am disappointed that you seem to have an extensive understanding of many aspects of internet culture, but fail to recognize the importance of anonymity on the internet and how it has revolutionized how people discuss sensitive issues.

After reading this article I have to ask whether or not you think anonymity would benefit education. As the education world moves more towards, "E-learning" I think anonymity would benefit the learning process. We can all admit that fear prevents many of us and students from learning. This is especially true in subjects that we personally struggle with. When you are anonymous the fear of being judged, ridiculed, or embarrassed disappears. So wouldn't this open up more students to learn better?

Adds to existing concerns on lack of awareness or sensitivity to privacy issues for net gen. Loved Grown Up Digital. Looked at some US census #s today. Is it possible there were actually more kids born in the last couple of years than in the late 80s early 90s? The next boom?
