Get Lit 2009 in Toronto

September 30, 2009

Mark your calendars! This year’s Get Lit event in Toronto will be held on Thursday, October 22nd at the Gladstone Hotel.

Get Lit is foremost a reading series, featuring a diverse cast of Canadian celebrities who share a piece of writing with the audience – an excerpt from a book , a poem, a shor t story, a scene from a play – that  has moved and inspired them to success. There will be five other readers in addition to me.

All proceeds go to The Running and Reading Clubs, a unique after-school program that encourages children in underprivileged neighborhoods across Canada to become physically active, learn to love reading , and break the cycle of generational poverty.

Tickets are going fast – be sure to reserve yours now!
